Intensive Instructor Training Courses

For those looking for a change in career, or simply needing a foot in the door to the outdoor industry or for those of you who need to upgrade your skills to further yourself in the industry,  we run two different durations of instructor training courses, either 6 weeks (SWITCH) or 16 weeks (SWITCH Plus), giving you the opportunity to learn and develop your skills in a variety of activities, and gain essential instructor qualifications along the way.  Both courses are listed below with suggested itineraries but all courses are bespoke and tailored to suit your individual requirements.

Switch

This is a six week course during which we will teach you physical skills in a variety of outdoor sports, gaining various national governing body (NGB) awards. This is the perfect course to open doors into the outdoor industry. We aim to set you up with the perfect foundation of coaching techniques and sport specific skills upon which you can improve and expand.

Switch Plus

This sixteen week course aims to set you up with technical skills in a variety of outdoor sports and upto date and effective coaching knowledge, plus leading real sessions with real customers gives you plenty of time to hone and perfect these new skill sets while under the watchful eye of our coach educators. This all enables you to gain employment in outdoor centres or work as a freelance instructor.

Switch Bespoke

This course is all about you. You tell us how long you want it to be, you tell us what you want it to cover and we will plan and run it for you.
