Beginners Climbing Course - 6 Weeks

The Beginners Climbing Course is a 6-week introductory course designed to teach you the basic skills and knowledge required to climb safely at an indoor climbing wall. You will learn essential skills such as how to fit your harness and helmet correctly, how to warm up to avoid injury, how to connect the rope to your harness correctly, how to belay (control the rope safely) for your climbing partner, and a general awareness of the safety rules and hazards, along with plenty of climbing experience. The final session will include a belay and wall safety awareness test so that we can ensure you are competent to use the wall safely whilst unsupervised.

The adults courses are run 8pm-9:30pm on Wednesday evenings. The course fee includes all tuition and equipment (except climbing shoes, which can be hired on the day if required).

Young people aged 14 to 17 years must be accompanied by a participating adult. Please choose your preferred day and dates when booking the adult place(s), then use the option below to book the relevant number of places for under 18s. We will then book the young person onto the same course.
