Tentipi tent Kåtas have been designed to function well even without an inner-tent. Nevertheless, an inner-tent does provide a number of advantages:
Teflon impregnated rip-stop fabric gives protection against condensation which is especially important for Kåtas made of light-weight material.
Condensation caused by ground dampness is eliminated because the floor covers the entire ground area of the tent.
Gives cosy comfort and protects you from ground dampness; dirt and snow can be more easily kept away.
Heat sources function more effectively and the heat is distributed more evenly when retained by double tent canvases.
More reliable protection against ants, mosquitoes and other insects.
Transforms the simple Arran and Vagge tents to advanced mountain tents with superior ventilation, even when there are many insects.
Because it is possible to have a fire and heater inside the inner tent, there are no disadvantages.
Easy to put up
It is easy to put up together with the Kåta or can be easily detached by using the reliable quick fastenings.
Ventilation
Closable insect net over the smoke opening; fits tight around the middle pole. Three fresh air intakes are built into the inner-tent. This guarantees the best possible ventilation on hot and sunny days, even when the air is full of insects.
The floor's features
The floor of the inner-tent has the same features and basic construction as Floor Tentipi Pro.
Tension relief
To relieve tension on the tent canvas.
Net roof holder
Reduces the risk of damaging the net when using a heater or open fire.
The fabric
Both the floor and walls are made of light, strong, high tenacity polyamide fibre which is much stronger than the material used in standard fabrics. (Find out more about the fabrics)
